Thanks to the success of WorldsInMotion.biz as a website, we've been looking for new ways to bring our readers more information and insight about online worlds. Therefore, we conducted the first-ever Worlds In Motion Summit - featuring major speakers from Areae, Habbo, Millions Of Us, GoPets, OutSpark, Nexon, Multiverse, and more, in February 2008.

When?
The Summit was held on Monday and Tuesday, February 18th and 19th, 2008, as part of the 2008 Game Developers Conference - the top industry event for video game developers.

Where?
The two-day virtual worlds conference, held at the Moscone Center in San Francisco, focused on the intersection of online worlds and games. There's an overview for the event - including speaker information - on its GDC 2008 Summits page. Some highlights include Raph Koster's keynote, as well as Adrian Cook on 'free to play' and Habbo's Sulka Haro in conversation.

More Info?
- "The Worlds in Motion Summit was a definitive event tailored for the growing number of industry professionals and Fortune 500 companies developing interactive online spaces for both entertainment and commercial purposes. Discussion forums delved into online worlds, social gaming and media and player created activity.

These provided insight for developers of all backgrounds into how the game industry is collectively building socialization into games and integrating personalization and player-generated content into gameplay—while widely accessible Web and networking tools are looking to the game industry for their way forward. The summit, which was accessible via several different GDC 2008 passes, will also debate the future of gaming, which may lie in the convergence of these new frontiers."

The full line-up for the completed event is available on the Worlds In Motion GDConf.com page.
